Teen & Adolescent Therapy in Longwood, FL & the Greater Orlando Area

Being a teenager has never been easy, and right now, it's harder than it's been in a long time. Our team works with adolescents from across Central Florida on anxiety, depression, identity, school stress, social media pressure, family conflict, and the everyday weight of growing up in this particular moment. We see teens in person at our Longwood office and via secure telehealth across Florida.

For Parents Reading This

You’re probably here because something has changed. Maybe your teenager has gotten quieter, angrier, more anxious, more withdrawn, or you’re catching glimpses of something that worries you and you’re not sure what to do with it. Maybe school has become a battle, or your once-close kid suddenly won’t talk to you. Maybe they’ve asked for therapy themselves, or maybe you’re the one who knows it’s time.

You’re not overreacting. Teenagers go through real things, and many of them are genuinely struggling: with anxiety that runs the show, depression that doesn’t lift, social pressures that didn’t exist when we were kids, identity questions that deserve real conversation, and the kind of overwhelm that can become dangerous if it doesn’t get attention. Getting your teen to a good therapist now can change how the next ten years unfold.

We work with parents too. Sometimes the work is with your teen directly. Sometimes it’s a combination of individual teen sessions and parent coaching. Sometimes the whole family needs to be in the room. Your first call with us will help us figure out which approach fits.

What We Helps Teens With

  • Anxiety and panic: generalized worry, social anxiety, school anxiety, the high-functioning anxiety that hides behind achievement
  • Depression: including the kind that looks like irritability, withdrawal, or apathy rather than sadness
  • Identity exploration: sexuality, gender identity, racial and cultural identity, who-am-I work that genuinely belongs to this stage of life
  • LGBTQIA+ affirming care: we are explicitly safe for queer and trans teens and the families supporting them
  • School stress and academic pressure: including students struggling with perfectionism, fear of failure, or burnout
  • Social media and screen-related distress: the pressure, comparison, body image, and constant low-grade dread that comes with growing up online
  • Family conflict: communication breakdowns, conflicts with parents or siblings, navigating divorce or blended-family changes
  • Self-esteem and body image
  • Bullying and peer issues
  • Trauma: including childhood adversity, abuse, and medical or accident trauma
  • ADHD support: for teens with diagnosed or suspected ADHD and the anxiety, shame, and academic challenges that often come with it
  • Grief and loss
  • Self-harm and risk concerns: assessed carefully and treated with appropriate care; we coordinate with prescribing providers when needed

Where We Serve

Our office is located at 390 Crown Oak Centre Drive in Longwood, FL, a central Seminole County location convenient to most of the greater Orlando metro. We work with teens and their families in person at our Longwood office and via secure telehealth anywhere in Florida.

In-person clients come to us from across Central Florida: Longwood, Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Winter Springs, Sanford, Oviedo, Maitland, Winter Park, Apopka, and Orlando. Many of our teen clients prefer telehealth for practical reasons: it eliminates the after-school commute, fits around sports and extracurricular schedules, and lets teens do sessions from a private space at home (often more comfortable than a clinical office, especially for younger or more anxious teens). Telehealth also opens up our practice to families across the state: Tampa, Jacksonville, Gainesville, the Treasure Coast, the Panhandle, and rural Florida where teen-experienced clinicians are harder to find.

If your family is anywhere in Florida and you’re looking for a thoughtful therapist for your teen, we can almost certainly work with you.
